Dr. Meredith Rowe is the Saul Zaentz Professor of Early Learning and Development at the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University (HGSE). Rowe received her doctoral degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard in 2003 and then pursued postdoctoral fellowships in the psychology and sociology departments at the University of Chicago for several years. She was an assistant professor in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology at the University of Maryland from 2009-2014 and joined the faculty at HGSE in 2014.
Rowe's work focuses on uncovering features of children's early communicative environments that contribute to language and cognitive development and applying this knowledge to the development of intervention strategies for caregivers.
She is currently Associate Editor at the journal Developmental Science (since 2015), and her work is published widely in journals in language development, education and psychology.
